Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I sit with my group?

Absolutely! Make sure you let us know when you sign up the names of everyone you are sharing the day with and we'll make every effort to seat you all together!

What should I wear?

We do provide protective aprons, but we are working with paint and sometimes accidents do happen. If you accidentally get paint on your clothing we suggest you immediately use water and soap to try and remove. Acrylic paint is permanent and does not come out of clothing if not treated immediately We suggest wearing comfortable, casual clothing.

Are food and/or drinks included in the ticket price?

In order to keep our prices low, food and drinks are not included in the ticket price, but are available to purchase and enjoy before or during the event. Typically, we have our very own server for our group which makes ordering food/drink very easy. Our venue partners do not charge a fee for us to hold our fabulous paint parties at their location and they always appreciate our painters supporting them by ordering off their menu. Additionally, some of our venue partners offer specials, extended happy hour pricing and reduced food offerings just for The Art Shock painters!

Can I bring my own alcohol and/or food?

No outside food or drinks are allowed at our venue partner restaurants. Some may or may not charge a "corkage fee" for bringing in your own wine and it is recommended that you call the restaurant directly and inquire about that. Arden Parks & Rec and Fair Oaks Parks and Rec DO allow you to bring your own food and drink to enjoy while we're painting.

What's included in the ticket purchase?

Your class includes all of the materials you'll need to paint and create your very own art: a canvas to take home at the end of the class, protective aprons and, of course, two hours of detailed instruction with the guidance of our awesome instructors!

Do the Artists accept tips?

Our artists love their jobs and we hope it shows. Tips are always a great way to show your artist you had a great time and are so appreciated!

What if I can't make a class I signed up for?

We require 48 hour notice to reschedule and/or cancel your reservation. This notice will give us an opportunity to fill your spot and/or adjust our staffing. If it is less than 48 hour hour notice, a no-show charge will be applied.

Please remember, if you do not show up, we still have to pay our staff who was scheduled and we lose the cost of supplies we set up before class and we lose the potential to fill your seat.

**Note: Tickets do have an expiration date and are not valid after 6 months from the date of purchase.

What if I'm Late?

Please make every effort to arrive a few minutes ahead of the start time and always allow extra time to get to the event you signed up for; including time for parking and checking in. When guests have shown up late, we always get them caught up to speed with the rest of the class -- This is never a problem! Of course, we prefer spending the entirety of the class with you and appreciate the effort of showing up at the start of the class.

Are kids allowed to paint?

We welcome our younger artists 10 years of age and older. Please call in advance if you are thinking of registering for a class with kids as some events may not be appropriate for the younger set to attend. No one under the age of 18 can attend a class without a paying adult.
